Cologne Tape is sort of the unofficial Big Band of Cologne-based label Magazine: Bringing together the expertise of Barnt, Jens-Uwe Beyer, Crato, Ada, Axel Willner (The Field), John Stanier (Battles), Jörg Burger (The Modernist), Philipp Janzen (Von Spar) and Mario Katz (ZON) - this is collective consciousness at its best. Born from long and wild jams in a squat-like studio a few years ago, Cologne Tape create a 2017 version of the Krautrock myth that doesn’t feel pretentious or nostalgic. Check their debut LP "Welt" which was released in April this year.
