Jens-Uwe Beyer is one of the co-operators of the highly valued magazine label, which he runs together with Barnt and Crato. He has toured the world under his pop nickname Alias. Most recently, he has reinvented himself - now under his real name - as a producer of wonderful ambient and elegiac techno. To be heard on his debut album for Kompakts Pop Ambient Sublabel ("The Emissary") and his latest EP for Magazine ("Amor Dark Pink Tencel Satin Suit") - on both of them his free spirit and his artistic nature flashes through every fibre of the record.
